Physical Culture

What Is Physical Culture?

Physical Culture or ‘Physie’ is a  modern Dance sport for girls and women of all ages and stages. It combines elements of low-impact modern dance, aerobic fitness and rhythmic gymnastics, choreographed into a number of routines. It is a unique combination of dance, floor and standing exercises designed to help girls and women with their musicality, coordination and flexibility. Through these structured routines students develop posture, poise and confidence in individual and group choreography.

Physie is a fantastic form of exercise that is learnt and perfected throughout most of the year.  It builds your strength and flexibility, provides cardio fitness and aides balance and coordination. As well as the many physical benefits, Physie also builds confidence, promotes self discipline and commitment, while encouraging teamwork, friendship and sportsmanship.
