YDSP's Mission
- To provide the tools and resources to ensure life long skills which emphasise on driver safety and responsible driving.
- To help ensure that whilst young people commence driving they obtain some of the best road safety education possible.
- To enhance the delivery of road skills and safety to young people.
- To provide one on one interactive driving lessons which aim to assist the youth of the community to gain the knowledge and attitudes necessary to be safe drivers.
Alarming Statistics
“NSW crash statistics show that young people are over-represented as drivers and motorcycle riders in fatal crashes. People under 26 comprise only 15% of driver licenses but are involved in 36% of road fatalities.”
The fact that our young people are over represented in the road crash statistics is a community problem. Club Marconi and the Peter Warren Group seeks to be part of a community solution by developing this program in order to help educate young people as they approach the period in their life when they start driving a car.
